Founded over 70 years ago by British Sub Aqua Club pioneer Oscar Gugen, UK company Typhoon International produced the first lightweight drysuit in 1976 and further revolutionised crew protection for sailing and other surface watersports in 1992 by introducing Clotex, a soft polyester trilaminate fabric, which is in use with most surface suits since. They remain the largest dry suit producer today, with products designed for a range of watersports activities.
