Small boat jib stick for down wind goose winged sailing. The protrusions along its length are to help retain the spike in the clew cringle when tension comes off the jib sheet. For craft that do not have a spinnaker and need the jib to be goosewinged. With a tendency for the spike to drop out of the clew cringle as pressure comes off, moulded into the side are lugs to help retain the whisker pole.
